Sources of Inspiration

The Banyan Inn – Key West , Florida

While traveling, even on a short day trip from home, I find inspiration in our tropical surroundings. This exquisite early 19th Century structure built in the Key West style functions as a luxury “bed and breakfast” today. The intricate wood detailing and custom craftsmanship is almost a lost art. I especially love the peaked frames over the windows and the operable plantation shutters that are painted dark bottle green, blending into the lushness of the garden seamlessly. The Inn gets it’s name from the gigantic Banyan trees hugging the fascade and creating a dense shady canopy overhead.

Welcome to Bell Landscape Architecture, Inc.!

The arrival of 2013 brought with it a brand new year and a fresh new website! We have enjoyed digging through stacks of old photos and compiling this portfolio of work completed during our 22 years of the practice of  Landscape Architecture in Miami, Florida. Much of our work has been high end residential estate homes, but you will find boutique hotels, public schools, parks, multi-family housing and other commercial projects included in our body of work. We hope you enjoy reading about our design firm and seeing the beauty that we can bring to outdoor spaces.  Check back with us periodically for updates on our blog!
